Meeka graduated with honors from Western Michigan University with a B.F.A in Design and Technical Production, emphasizing in Costume Design and Crafts. She has worked in New York City both as a milliner for Arnold S. Levine Inc, and a crafts artisan for Mio Design NYC where she worked on costume pieces for Broadway and other projects. Credits include The Witches of Eastwick (Western Michigan University), Diary of Anne Frank (Farmer's Alley Theatre), Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol (Emerson Colonial Theatre, assistant for Linda Roethke), Top Girls (Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, co-design with Raquel Adorno), Fun Home (Northwestern University), Tomás and the Library Lady (NU) and most recently, The Ballad of Mu Lan (NU). Meeka graduated with an M.F.A. In Stage Design at Northwestern University. Meeka spent the 2022-23 school year as faculty at Mid-Pacific Institute teaching Film Production and Digital Media. She then went on to teach Digital Art and Animation to kids in Okinawa, Japan. Meeka is currently based in Minot, ND.
